2021 vintage will be remembered as one of the driest years on record in California. In Napa, we had one of the smallest yields, but the few grapes we harvested bear the mark of a memorable vintage. Combine the concentration and depth of this vintage, with the terroir of Howell Mountain and you are bound to experience the magic of Napa Valley’s first sub-region.
The coyote is part of the natural ecosystem of our Howell Mountain vineyard. It’s diet yearlong is mainly carnivore, but when the coyote starts to feast on grapes, we know it’s time to harvest.
The “Coyote Loser” is a term associated with a winemaker that quits their job in the middle of harvest.
