“The 2020 Malbec Eolo is sourced from a 100-year-old vineyard planted on the riverbank in Vistalba, Luján de Cuyo. Aged for 18 months in equal parts French oak barrels (new and used) and foudres, this purple-red wine unfolds ripe fruit aromas of plums and quince marmalade along with hints of bay leaf and menthol hints against a cedar backdrop. Dry, rich and fairly crispy due to a harvest decision in a warm vintage, this Malbec is mild and juicy with a lasting, flavorful finish. “Deep, tarry blackberries and blueberries with hints of iodine, oyster shell, violet and dark minerals. A nice touch of cocoa powder and a hint of cream.
