Description
Still red from Piedmont, Barbera d’Alba Superiore DOC, 14% ABV, produced by Ugo Lequio. 100% Barbera, 2019 vintage. A wine made from grapes grown on the Gallina vineyard, in the heart of the Neive area. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 8-12 days on the skins at a controlled temperature. Aged in 25-hl oak barrels for 20 months and 4-6 months in bottle. A distinct fruity bouquet (strawberry and cherry) complements mellow notes of pastry and cocoa. Ruby in color, with a firm purple edge. On the palate, it reveals, right from the start, its broad, soft structure and the substantial consistency of its substance.
