Description
Famous in Saint-Emilion and Libourne area, Merlot transmits particular aromas to its wines. Besides Saint-Emilion and Saint-Emilion Grand Cru wines, the Union de Producteurs produces – still around Merlot – also wines from neighbouring appellations.
Tasting notes
This is a delicious, very fruity, easygoing Claret with a hint of spice on the finish. Serve at room temperature with marinated lamb chops, pasta and cheeses.
Vinification
Filling-in stainless steel or concrete vats with temperature control. Pre-fermenting maceration. From 20 to 30 days maceration. Malolactic fermentation in vats.
