Description
A still red wine from Etna, Sicily, 13.5% ABV, produced by Benanti. Blend of Nerello Cappuccio and Nerello Mascalese. The winery, founded in 1988, is a benchmark for Etna viticulture, producing approximately 250,000 bottles annually. Vinified on the skins with long maceration. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is racked into small 225-liter barrels where it ages for 8-10 months. Ample aromas of red fruit with hints of vanilla. Bright ruby red with faint purple hues. Dry, well-balanced acidity, slightly tannic, harmonious, with a good persistence and aromas of red fruit.
