Still red, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 13.5% ABV, produced by Biondi Santi, a historic winery founded in 1825. 100% Sangiovese Grosso. 0.75 L bottle, 2018 vintage. A legendary wine, a symbol of Tuscan excellence, aged for 3 years in Slavonian oak barrels. “Greppo,” the family’s historic estate, extends across a hilly system at approximately 500 meters above sea level, overlooking the southeast of Montalcino. It enjoys an ideal microclimate and soil for the production of long-lived and fragrant red wines. The bouquet presents a wide range of intriguing notes reminiscent of autumnal undergrowth, aromatic herbs, porcini mushrooms, and bitter cherries. A meditation wine, surprising with its complexity and palate flexibility, in a crescendo of sensations that will only enrich with time.
