Description
Giovanni Rosso Barolo La Serra is produced in vineyards located in
Serralunga d’Alba. This is an area with a strong winemaking vocation, and the wines from these
crus’ exhibit great structure and longevity. The company’s vineyards are located in an elevated position, almost at the top of the hill. This allows them to benefit from sunlight practically throughout the day. The company carries out meticulous vine management, deciding on defoliation and thinning depending on the weather conditions. These two operations are, in fact, carried out based on the stage of
veraison and ripening of the grapes. The soils are predominantly calcareous, unlike the medium-hillside areas where there are also
clayey patches. The altitude and
good temperature ranges contribute to producing a
Barolo DOCG of excellent quality. The aim of the Giovanni Rosso company is to produce wine that is in synergy with the territory in which it is born.
