Description
100% Nero d’Avola. Medium ruby color intensity. Soft fig, red cherry, prune aromas with notes of clove and sandalwood. Continuing to the palate, flavors of red plum, red currants, green olive, earth, and shades of leather. This is a dry wine with big, chalky, tannins. It has medium acidity and body. Flavors tend to percolate as it sits opening arriving to a medium finish.
Food Pairing: Pasta with meat sauce and mushrooms, roasts and medium-aged cheeses.
