Originally allocated for our reserve white blend, this year we decided to show off this wine as its own single varietal wine. A small case production means this wine will sell quickly. Lush tropical fruit, bright pepper. Tasting notes Our Roussanne presents a pleasant and surprising mouth-feel full of lush tropical fruit and bright pepperiness. This wine pairs well with buttery sauces filled with slow cooked vegetables or rich shellfish like scallop, crab, and lobster. It also makes for an exciting alternative pairing at Thanksgiving dinner to a standard Chardonnay. Production notes Cultivated at the newly acquired Creston Ridge Estate vineyard, this is our first vintage working with Roussanne. These grapes were originally allocated for our white Rhone blend. Impressed with its intense and unique quality, Matt Merrill and Jim Shumate also decided to showcase it as an exceptional single varietal wine. Fermented in neutral oak for 6 months. |
