A Cabernet Sauvignon base, our 2019 vintage of Meritage is comprised of 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, and 9% Petit Verdot. This wine is guaranteed to be your winter favorite!

Tasting Notes
Aromas of dark stone fruit, jam and piecrust. Flavors of toasted hazelnut, blueberry and humidor.
Vineyard Notes
Soils are based on weathered green stone, shale, and montmorillonite clay. Green stone is high in nutrients and when broken down creates rich, fertile soils. The shale allows for good water drainage, while the clay provides organic matter. Sites are all south/south west aspect ranging from 800′ – 1200′ elevation.
Production Notes
Fruit was destemmed with no crushing and pumped into tank and bins. 2-4 punchdowns or pumpovers a day. Allowed to age on skins for 7-12 days post fermentation, then pressed off. Wine settled in tank then racked to French and American oak barrels, ~20% new barrels.
